During the time of Rev.Fr. Stanly Periera for the need for a Higher Primary School was felt. There were five primary schools around the place but there was no Higher Primary School.  For the starting of the school 15 members committee was formed and on 31-1-1965, Late Rev. William Louis during his pastoral visit laid the foundation for the school building amidst opposition of locals to the authorities. Even the then Government had denied permission for the private schools to begin, since it wanted to start and manage educational institutions. On 22-5-1965 the classes began in the new building and Miss.Teresa Sequeira was appointed as the first Headmistress of the school. There were three classes simultaneously started 5,6 and 7 with 156 children. Rev.Fr. Stanly Periera worked very hard to get permission for the continuation of the school since there Government had ordered the closer of the school. After intense pressure then education minister Mr. S.R. Kanti gave permission for the school. In 18-81965 official permission was given to start the school. The school is grateful to Mrs. Octavia Albuquerque  for all the pain that she has taken for starting of this school. In 1972 primary classes were too started. The school building had all the needed facilities and there were about 600 students and 12 teachers.

During the time of Rev. Raymond Moras new school building was constructed. This contained 5 classes. It was built in such a way that it could also be used as a hall for programmes in the school.
