Rev.Bro.Richard Francis Saldanha was ordained deacon on 13th June 2013. Rev. Dn. Richard Saldanha is the eldest son of Mr. William and Mrs. Winifred Saldanha and brother of Glen Saldanha of Sacred Heart Ward of our parish. His diaconate was held along with 25 other deacons belonging to various dioceses of India. The ordination ceremony was held at St.Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu-Mangalore. The ordination was done by Most.Rev.Dr. Varghese Chakkalakal, Bishop of Calicut. Rev. Bro.Richard Saldanha belongs to the Order of Carmelite and he is pursuing his studies in St.Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel Hill – Mangalore.
Along with Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Jesudas D’Costa, we the parishioners congratulate Rev. Dn. Richard Saldanha and pray for God’s choicest blessings upon him and upon his family.
