Farewell to Fr. Alban D souza and Fr. Anil D souza.

May 30: Today the parishioners bid a tearful farewell to Fr.Alban D souza and Fr.Anil D souza. The farewell program held after the 8:00am mass in the parish.  Fr.Alban D souza , Fr.Anil D souza, Fr.Praveen, Fr.Clement, Fr.Richard, Sr. Shoba, Mr. Dolphi Mirnada and Mrs. Lucy D souza were present  on the dais.  Fr.Clement  spoke few  words of appreciation about Fr.Alban D souza and Fr.Anil D souza on behalf of the parish. Mrs. Lucy D souza  the secretory of the parish parishad read out the ‘Maan Pathr’ (honouring letter) for Fr. Alban D souza and Fr. Anil D souza.

Both the out going priests facilitated each other. Then they were felicitated by the guests on the dais and Mr. Dolphi Mirnada and Mrs. Lucy D souza honoured them on behalf of the parishioners with shwls, fruits and mementos. Mr. Eugene Sequeira the president of the St. Jude Association of Pakshikere Church parishioners in Mumbai addressed the gathering and bid farewell to Fr. Alban D souza and Fr. Anil D souza. It was an emotional moment for all when both the priests addressed the parishioners for the last time. The program was well conducted by Mr. Stany D souza.

There will be a reaching ceremony for Fr .Alban D souza  on 30th May 2011 at 2:00pm accompanied by the parishioners as well the pligrims to St.Peter’s Church at Barkur in Udupi  and for Fr. Anil on 5th June 2011 at 3:15pm to Our Lady of Milagris Church, Mangalore. We wish God’s abundant blessings on Fr.Alban D souza and Fr.Anil D souza and success in their future mission. The parishioners will remain always indebted to them for all that they have been to St Jude’s Parish and parishioners.
