Lenten season this year was begun with Ash Wednesday Liturgy on 1st March, 2017. That day there were 3 masses, morning 6:30 AM, 8 AM and evening 5 PM. At all the masses, Ashes were put on the forehead of the faithful, as a sign of Lenten penance. This year, the Lenten savings will be for the patients suffering from dreadful diseases. The parish priest exhorted the people regarding the importance of Lenten season and asked the people to spend more time in prayer and penance.
