Sept 18, 2017: Teachers day was celebrated on Sunday, 17th September 2017. At 9.30 a.m. there was Holy Eucharistic celebration. Along with the catechism children the teachers participated in the liturgy. The children offered special prayers for their teachers. After the mass the ICYM members organized a beautiful program in honor of all the teachers.
Rev. Fr. Andrew D’ Souza Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Clifford Pinto Asst Parish Priest, Br. Joyan D’ Costa C.Ss.R Regent, Sr. Florine Incharge of St. Jude English Medium School, Mrs. Puspa Retired teacher, Miss Therese Sequiera Retired Teacher, Mrs. Carol Cutinha Secretary of Parish Council, Chethan Rodrigues ICYM President were present on the dais.
ICYM members conducted games for the teachers and prizes were given for the winners by Bro. Joyan D’ Costa C.Ss.R. All the teachers were honored with a gift and a memento. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’ Souza appreciated the service of the teachers and motivated them. On behalf of all the teachres Mrs. Pushpar expressed her views. Rev. Fr. Clifford Pinto inspired the teachers to love their students. Program ended with the meal. Attractive prizes were sponsored by the ICYM members and others. Chethan Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. Miss Princita Lobo delivered the vote of thanks and Miss Geetha Periera compered the program.
