Sacred Heart Ward Feast: A Feast of Love

A feast of love that teaches the entire world to love selflessly. The feast of the sacred heart of Jesus was celebrated by the sacred heart ward members on the 10th of June 2018. The festivities began with the Holy Mass where the ward members took part in a very enthusiastic manner from the beginning of the liturgy till the grand festive lunch organized by the ward with love and affection to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The ward members came in procession with flowers and placed it in front of the sacred image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and took part in the Eucharistic celebration.

Later the ward members gathered at Mr. Henry Lobo’s house which was the venue for the program, the guest of honor was the newly welcomed parish priest Rev. Fr Melwyn Noronha. Ms. Princita Lobo compared the program. Mr. Jackson Saldana the ward head, welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr Melwyn Noronha spoke on the occasion that “A ward has to be united in everything they do because they are of one spirit and one heart. The ward is consecrated to the sacred heart of Jesus and thus we must do as Christ did, love as Christ loved, think as Christ thought this s how we become Christ like”.

Sr. Mariama also spoke on the occasion. The ward report was read by the secretary of the ward Mrs. Sherlyn Montero on how the ward functions as well as on the activities the wardtook part in. Ms. Riyona Fernandez was honored as she secured highest marks in the class 12th exams. a few games were conducted and Ms. Jennifer Saldana delivered the vote of thanks giving credits to all who helped in the success of the program. Aa grand festive lunch was organized by the members of the ward which ended the program.
