July 04 :We congratulate Mr. Jackson Saldanha for being elected as the Vice President of ICYM of Mangalore diocese. He was elected at the 64th general body election and 14th cup awarding ceremony of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Mangalore Diocese. It was held on Sunday July 3 at Rosario Church, here. More than 2,000 youth participated in this meeting. It is moment of pride for the parish as many of its youth are actively involved in youth moments of the diocese. Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Sunil Pinto also congratulate Mr. Jackson saldanha on his achievement.
Mr. Jackson Saldanha is the son of Mr. John Saldanha and Mrs. Hilda Saldanha of Sacred Heart Ward. He was the President of ICYM Pakshikere and ICYM Kinnigoli Varado Unit. Recently he was elected as the Secretary of Rotaract Club Kinnigoli. During his tenure the Pakshikere Parish ICYM Unit bagged the best ICYM unit award. Besides he has actively involved himself in number of youth and social concern activities. He will be attending World Youth Day to be held in Spain this August.
