“What so ever you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, you have done unto to Me” taking these words of Lord Jesus Christ as the inspiration SVP association was established in our parish by Late Rev. Fr. Aloysius Alvares in 1978. The SVP association of our parish has been successfully carrying on this mission of helping the needy for the past 32 years. The SVP unit has adopted five families who are in need. The material needs of these families have been taken care besides providing help for children of these families in their schooling. The SVP members do visit these families regularly and enquire about their requirements. This sharing has helped to develop a close between these families and the SVP unit members. The community weddings also get some help from the SVP unit. For all this good work money is being collected once a month in the parish and a ‘Help Box’ is placed inside the parish for donations. SVP unit is grateful to all the generous benefactors for their help. We do take suggestions from the Parish Priests for the effective running of the association. We look forward for better works by the SVP unit in the future.
