Feast of St Jude celebrated

Oct. 28: The feast of St.Jude was celebrated on 28th October with all grandeur. The parish and the surroundings were decorated with flowers and lights. Most Rev.Dr. Aloysius Paul D'Souuza the Bishop of Manglore  was the main celebrant of the day, he was welcomed at the entrance by Rev.Fr.Andrew and Rev.Fr.Sunil and by parish council Members. The church was full with the parishioners and pilgrims. The parish priests of neighbouring parishes too joined the celebration as concelebrants. The church choir did a good job under the leadership of Rev.Fr.Sunil Pinto and Mr.Joseph Rodrigues. The founder members of the parish and sponsors of the feast were honoured by the Bishop.

on this auspicious occasion Bishop blessed the foundation stone for the New Parish hall, the building work will begin soon. This year pakshikere shrine has blessed a silver statue of St Jude which is coasting almost 5 lakhs, donated by  a devotee of st. Jude. the parish bulletin 'Yathrik' was also  inaugurated by the bishop.  The parish Altar Servers, YCS and ICYM units had put up stalls for entertainment and games.  At 6.30 p.m  there was a cultural evening by the  youth and the  Parish children followed by a Tulu comedy Drama " Kala Kmbla" by Devdas Kapikad and team Mangalore. there were almost 4 thousand people have witnessed this feast celebration.  The annual parish feast was a grand success and joy to all.
