Community wedding celebrations

This year the community wedding celebrations were held on  Monday October 26^th 2015. 17 couples participated in the wedding. All of them were from very poor families. All their wedding needs were met by the shrine. Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao the Bishop of Shimoga was the main celebrant there were many who priests concelebrated and blessed the couples. The wedding mass was at 10.00am followed by the reception for the couples and sumptuous meal for all people. The Honorable Minister for Fisheries and Youth Mr. Abhaya Chandra Jain came for the program and gave his message. He appreciated this good gesture of sty. Jude shrine, helping poor couples to get married here. Nearly 5000 people participated in the celebration and appreciated the program. At the end there was baila dance by the youth of the parish, along with the newly wedded couples. The whole program was concluded with ‘Laudate Dominus’ at 3.00pm.
