Good Friday -2016

March 25, 2016 : Good Friday liturgy was held at Pakshikere church from 4:30 to 7:30PM. In the beginning there was way of the cross conducted by Br. Steven with the help of the slides on the life of Jesus. The reflections were very much applicable to present day life. After the way of the cross the liturgy of the day began. Fr. Patrick Sequeira the assistant Parish Priest was the main celebrant. The passion was sung and Passion sermon was preached by Fr. Patrick Sequeira. Then there were solemn prayers for the universal needs, unveiling the cross and honoring the cross, followed by the communion. At the end all the people came and paid their reverence to the holy body of Jesus. The whole ceremony was very much Devotional and awe –inspiring. People went in silence reflecting the passion and death of Jesus.
